2020 Young Bankers Division Conference
On behalf of the Young Bankers Division Board of Directors, I would like to invite you to join us in Greensboro, GA for our annual conference, which will be held at The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee, March 6-8, 2020. This is the premier-networking event for emerging leaders in the banking industry. The purpose of the conference is multi-fold: to promote leadership development, enhance career knowledge and development and create business development and networking opportunities.
Places like Lake Oconee are rare. Its beauty and authenticity are self-evident, yet unknown to the masses. While it may seem rustic and remote to some, those are the very qualities cherished by those who experience it. Set along the waterfront just outside of Atlanta, Georgia, the resort offers five-star amenities, natural beauty and a quiet escape from everyday life.
I am very pleased that the Young Bankers Division can present a conference with a diverse and varied array of speakers able to talk on a range of important topics. I am confident you will have time to network with your peers, gather essential industry information, develop business leads and build new relationships that will prove to be meaningful for both you and your respective companies in our rapidly changing industry.
If you have emerging leaders in your organization who can benefit from hearing from dynamic speakers and industry experts—or if you are an emerging leader clamoring for an opportunity to meet and learn from the best of the best—don’t miss the SCBA’S Young Bankers Division Annual Conference!

Martine Helou, Executive Director of Palmetto Foundation for Prevention and Recovery
“More Than A Banker”
Martine came to the Palmetto Foundation after a successful tenure as the Community Relations and Correspondence Director at the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office. While with the county, Martine created the VOICE program for middle school-aged adolescents, which focused on the early prevention of opioid abuse. The program fostered proactive collaboration
between the sheriff’s office and area school districts, FBI and DEA personnel, and local addiction treatment and recovery providers. VOICE received state and national attention for its signature approach to confronting the opioid epidemic in Greenville County.
GARDEN TO GLASS
Saturday, March 7 | 2:00pm – 3:30pm | $150pp
Inspired by the craft cocktail craze sweeping the nation and highlighting fresh locally grown ingredients, this activity will teach expert tips on creating classic cocktails, and then assist participants with creating a twist on those same classics. The master mixologist will walk participants through the three key ingredients to all great cocktails, the perfect taste, a scintillating name, and a little touch of flair. As the event comes to a close, the group will be divided into teams and will have the opportunity to create their own “classic cocktail.” A panel of judges will taste the delicious creations and judge on creativity, taste, and “flair.” Participants will be given custom menus to take home to commemorate the event. Prior registration is required. Space is limited. $150 per person.
SPORTING CLAYS OUTING
Saturday, March 7 | 2:00 – 5:30 a.m. | $215pp
Designed to emulate the unpredictable and challenging nature of a classic British shoot, the twenty-station Sporting Clays Course capitalizes on the natural topography of the land and winds its way through the rolling terrain of the woodlands and mature trees, across spring-fed ponds, inside forest thickets, and through a century-old Pecan orchard. The Sporting Clays Course launches non-toxic, biodegradable clays at a variety of speeds, trajectories, angles, elevations and distances. Using Promatic International, the leading manufacturer of shooting machinery and equipment based in England, the course is easily adjustable and can be set up to challenge and entertain all caliber of shooters, from novice to professional. Upon arrival, our team will greet you and outfit you with safety equipment, hearing and eye protection, and shooting vests. Next, you will be matched with a Beretta shotgun and introduced to a Sporting Grounds Guide who will accompany each group through the course via an off-road, all-terrain buggy.
